PINE, and CHERRY and MAHOGANY

Symbolism of Pine

http://www.thegoddesstree.com/trees/Pine.htm

Lots of very interesting stuff here. The gist? Birth, Abundance, Health,
Fertility, Fortune, Love!

Symbolism of Cherry wood

Of course, it’s the tree that George Washington (didn’t really) chopped
down and couldn’t lie about.

Cherry tree symbols mean death and rebirth and new awakenings. Because of
their considerable value as both food and ornamental plants, many cherry
and other fruit tree species have been introduced to parts of the world to
which they are not native. Many of the Old World species are grown for
ornament or fruit, and have been planted throughout the world. Some have
become naturalized beyond their native range. How American!

Symbolism of Mahogany

Spiritual growth and guidance. (Not much Mahogany in this house).

Just FYI, in Chinese symbology, the “three friends” are Cherry, Pine and…
Bamboo.
