M&D p. 10: you know the sort of thing I mean

To Be or Not to Be, sort of thing.

In trying to find a literary, linguistic term that might describe this I
find the label 'extension--contrast' in one online text exposition

but I also find inexact musical analogies, diminuendo and my favorite, from
jazz----de-crescendo....

With his ..'and so forth' these have always made me think Southern
California, hippie times in inspiration.
