Fender--Belly is an asshole, a sea guy hunting for the big score, it
seems, wanting to snatch the Learned Dog and put him on display "to
keep the savages amused"....we can't help but think of adventurous
Western 'entrepreneurs' who did go after, capture many animals to
bring back to entertain the Civilized world....King Kong, of course,
famously mythicized about it.

So, almost condescendingly stupid to remark on the
playing/reversing/showing up concepts of the animal and the human and
the ways the West has exploited.

One just has to comment, as one must a lot, how quick-witted is the
writing, the satire...
from 'we're all seahorses here"....."Island..." Snatch..."

"i've heard they eat dogs out there'...the way the humans talk about
the dog as if he weren't listening and his commenting on that.

A--and, one more thing...Pig Bodine is also an asshole, or is he a prick?
