TP quote on CL49

Hate to ask again so soon, but you folks are better than my fuzzy circuits
sometimes.

  I seem to recall Pynchon referring to CL49 as "the deal breaker" but I
can't find it in what I have on hand. I have combed through the Harry
Ransom letters plus the articles by Kachka and Gussow. I have missed it?
Was it in one the letters to Cork Smith?
