(np) The Future of Jihadism in Europe

So many European chickens are coming home to roost, literally. The
establishment of Israel is just one, but a big one.

The abandonment or defeat of the European empire in the Mideast was
followed by the US, and later by Russian attempts to adopt these newly
formed "nations," but these adoptions have always failed. Our failure is
obvious out there, and it is a big source of present scorn and resentment.
We're hated not for the currently stagnant economies, which would have
passed without such violence. We're hated because we have upset their
previous tribal balances by way of inserting ourselves into their world as
the New Coquerers. An similar example of that dynamic is Trump's core base
being much more tribe-identity motivated than economically motivated.

That's my take,
David Morris
