In the interview with Tod Perry brought to us by the good folk of Laws of
Silence, Mr. Perry mentions going to the apartment of Hans and Gerda
Meyerhof. Perry says: " They entertained a really amazing group of
intellectuals from CCNY and Columbia and elsewhere--art historians,
scholars, artists. Often we had dinner there, Dick, Kirk, Tom, Bob, Robin."

One of those intellectuals would have been Martin Beradt, a German jewish
novelist and jurist. Other refugees (artists, thinkers, etc.) probably came
by.

Gerda Meyerhof was a photographer and worked for Stephanie Brandl and Roman
Vishniac.

Could this have been an early influence on light and photography?

So far I haven't been able to find out much about Hans Meyerhof.
