GR translation: Fred and Phyllis

Fred and Phyllis Gebauer befriended Pynchon when living in Seattle; they 
became lifelong friends. Pynchon tended (tends?) to make a visit 
randomly.

Can't remember where, but didn't Pynchon wrote or said somewhere he was 
going to put all his friends into GR?
