GR translation: And how they know it

Unfortunately, double meaning is often one the the first casualties of
translation, especially between languages as different as English and
Chinese.  I'm afraid there is not much anybody can do in many cases.
Imagine the fun I have when I have to deal with the many puns in the book.

In this case, I think the "how often, under what conditions" that follows
refers to Their decision to "allow us a glimpse", thus "We ought to be
seeing
much popular-magazine coverage" because They wanted us to.
