Since we have talked of MH and HA (an important influence, one book anyway, on TRP)

Martin writes to Hannah:
Why is love rich beyond all other possible human experiences and a sweet
burden to those seized in its grasp? Because we become what we love and yet
remain ourselves.
I want to contrast this above by Heidegger to Pynchon's presentation thru
Roger M of the 'magic' of love in creating a new separate something beyond
the two lovers. I want to say, P sees ego and identity transcendence--and
maybe more?
H here in this letter sees no loss of identity---"yet remain
ourselves"--but
an ego loss into the other.
Not uninteresting to me.
