Unfortunately Kai, a great many people think Obama is a hero who is trying to work for the people, but who has been foiled by the evil Republicans.  This TTIP and the TPP trade agreements( both with bi-partisan support) are complete betrayals of Roosevelt’s attempts to reform capitalism and make it accountable to democratic process and humane ethics. The European people are right to be appalled. Meanwhile it barely makes the news here, we are distracted by the tremendous farts of the T-Rump lizard king and a broken voting system. 

The GATT and NAFTA and the rejection of Glass Stagall were Clinton’s contributions to the Neo Colonial/ neo-liberal enterprise. That our recent presidents serve secretively developed international Corporate Law whose net effect is devastating our national economy and contributing to international exploitation, and that they  do so with so little resistance is a sign of how manipulable the public is. Bernie is a sign that the the control of the elite is more tenuous than anyone knew.

The myth of Obama as a force for reform should have ended when he appointed his first cabinet, a motley collection of war criminals, CIA favorites,  corporate swindlers,  banksters and a wall street lawyer for attorney general.
