NP - Terrence Malick SUCKS!

Some years ago I had the rare opportunity to watch "Days of Heaven" on
the big screen. I consider it a masterpiece. In particular because the
basically social-realist narrative (about work, class, love and betrayal
from the POV of the girl) works against the indeed utterly gorgeous
cinematography.
Malick's off-narration always has a distancing effect which, in an age
where most movies want to simply overwhelm you, is very welcome.

I very much enjoyed all of Malick's movies up to and including "Tree of
Life", although "Tree of Life" has at least two scenes where
pretentiousness gets the best of him: the dinosaurs ("grace") and the
unbearable ending. Not to mention the title of the movie...
