NYT & Russia

I'm with Matthew, but I am less interested in capitalists' disdain for the
quality of human life and much more incensed at their scorn for the wild
places and the life townsfolk see only in pictures. Oh, the rich libs wring
their hands over the three-toed salamander, but will they lay down their
wealth to protect life? What would they risk for a forest? a swamp? even
swale? Fagetaboutit.
