Twin Peaks

The first season is absolutely worth watching, only 8 episodes of ~47
minutes (pilot is longer). Even though it paved the way for a lot of
the 'prestige' television that has followed, there's nothing remotely
like it.
Season 2's network meddling saw a lot of the soap opera elements amped
up but if you dig the first season it stills has the same moments of
brilliance, and is necessary to get the whole elaborate cosmic mythos
Lynch is establishing.
Or even if you're just intrigued by the notion of a soap with a cosmic mythos...
I can't imagine what it would be like to head into the new one blind!
And I recall Fire Walk with Me as one of the more traumatic film
experiences I've undergone, and I'm kind of dreading reaching that
point in my re-viewing schedule...
