The Torah starts with the human corruption introduced by the weakness of Eve.  Most major heroic women in the Torah contribute, like Ruth, to the Davidic Kingdom, or accomplish their deeds by stealth. 

It seems on first thought that the whiteness power in Melville is nature and the whiteness power in GR is Technology posing as god. Both are invoked as a destructive force by a paranoid dualism . In both cases the dualism invokes a war against evil which becomes or inherently is a war against God or life or everything- the Mars /Wotan path to immortality.light
