I played in the Savannah Jazz Festival this weekend, and was inducted into
the Coastal Jazz Hall of Fame. Played with some old friends, and with Javon
Jackson, a name sax player. Great stuff!
I took the long way home today
and visited some old haunts. In Beaufort, SC, where I lived and played for
a while, I stopped for a walk by the waterfront, and by chance, there was a
used book sale, 20 minutes left... I found a first edition paperback of
Gravity's Rainbow, and a Finnegan's Wake. $1.75!
