Laurie Anderson did a great musical/performance art piece on Moby Dick. Mix of very funny and moving material. She has a bit about how sperm whales have their eyes way out to the side and can’t see directly in front , but angle back and forth to follow prey. So that if a sperm whale headed toward you it would be like a  featureless dark rounded blank barelling through the water.  One can find the whale album on you tube.
 
If you like brilliant musical satire Laurie Anderson is pretty great. She has a brilliant trio of pieces at Mass Moca in North Adams MA. 2 include virtual reality head sets.
