With such a name, why can't Pugnax detect a scent as he can "in other
humans"? If he is a noseworth? His nose is worth nothing; a whole nose
worth of him
is nothing, not real, not human.

might be described
as a merry band of self-organizing never violent, in fact 'helping
"anarchists'--that theme announced in this chapter too. Helpers in the
sense that Mr. Rogers used to say, "Look for the Helpers in disasters"
