Have a number of friends who’ve done it, some travel to Peru regularly. From what I’ve been told and seems like common sense: you have a minder of some sort, someone experienced but who won’t be indulging.
Like psychedelics which were abused in my younger days, one should be in the proper headspace or time of life.
I do wonder how these rituals are taken out of their original context but some including my friends seem to have benefited
Just make sure it’s not an exercise in curiosity, that I’ll try that anything. There should be a spiritual component which may be getting away from itself with popularity.
One last thing: be prepared to puke

If any of you have any advice, wisdom, insight, experience to share—or even interesting reading recommendations or something—would be grateful. -
