At first blush given its pharmacology having a noloxone kit handy wouldn't hurt even if not injected..

I’ve done it a few times back in Brazil, where it all started. The physical side effects are fine. People always vomit, but afterwards there’s a good feeling. It’s not like when one vomits because of sickness. There’s also some gases. The environment should be intimate enough so people can fart if they need to. Two things that I heard a lot from more experienced people: it’s good not to drink alcohol nor eat meat three days before the ceremony (and three days later as well, but that’s too radical I guess). I did that once, and it was good. Another time I had drunk a lot the day before, the ayahuasca got mad at me and just made me sleepy...The other thing is that the first timeyou use it, there’s no effect. It sounds like a myth, I know, but lots of people report that, including me.
Hope you enjoy!

Hey y’all,

Next weekend I’m participating in an ayahuasca ceremony (in Chicago). My first time doing this particular thing (closest I’ve come are mushrooms and LSD).  If any of you have any advice, wisdom, insight, experience to share—or even interesting reading recommendations or something—would be grateful. -
