Oh yes. I distinctly remember the story of Anwar al-Awlaki and his 
16-year old son. There is a rather sad addendum now to the al-Awlaki 
tale: Al-Awlakis 8-year old daughter was killed in a US commando attack 
in Yemen about a year ago. According to some reports she was shot in the 
neck at close range by a Navy SEAL:

The movie to the book is interesting but Scahill comes across as rather 
self-aggrandizing there.
