-how should we proceed? How can you know in advance if something will work out?

We had some really good discussions on this in 7th grade math class. This great teacher Mr Warren got it going when we had some free time. The boys wanted to know how they could tell if a girl liked them, and what to do if a boy liked a girl. I don't remember all the answers from this session as well as I do a lot of my playground stuff, to be honest. 
It was only the one time, and mostly what I remember is the calm and respectful way everyone was talking. I know the curriculum is crowded, but more of that wouldn't have been a bad thing. Imho.
