After reading a nice interview with him
<https://www.theguardian.com/film/2019/may/18/keanu-reeves-grief-loss--bill-ted-john-wick-actor-tragedy>
last week I've been having a little Keanu binge. Currently part way
through A Scanner Darkly which must be the best (in the sense of closest
to the book) Philip K Dick movie so far. Keanu may have a limited
emotional range but the camera loves him, and as Scanner shows he has a
great voice. It is clear from the stories of his way of living that he
is one of the few movie stars who has not let their fame affect their
lifestyle - the anti Pynchon in some ways - give the interviews, make
the appearances and give them no ego weight, just live like you do an
ordinary job. And, as one of the btl comments shows, people respect that.
I'm looking forward to the third Bill and Ted movie. I can't imagine he
will agree to it if it isn't a smart film.
