What a great list! My thanks also (thread hijacking).
I assume you’ve read all the gothic œuvre, but my favourite is Charles Robert Maturin’s Melmoth the Wanderer.
Also I’m also guessing you’ve been there and done that with all of Jeff Vandermeer’s work(?)
