I remember jbor well. He always seemed smart but reserved. There were
massive flame wars back then, often instigated by a prig troll (I won't
name him) stating that "Pynchon clearly is stating [some shitty banal
thing]." As soon as you disagreed, he the aggressively mischaraterized
your objection (classic troll). It was both inane and aggravating. Jbor
regularly told the troll off, but politely.
