Asked for his view on the current “war-time” language used during the
crisis, which has seen medical workers described as being on the
“front line” and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warning of the
biggest challenge since World War II, Chomsky said the rhetoric was
justified to mobilise people.

Chomsky gives a lot of interviews. So, no, not the interview you
cited, but interviews I've seen in which he has been asked about and
surprisingly has justified the use of war language in government
propaganda.

As is too often the case, the questions posed to NC were written to
invite Chomsky to slam USA government propaganda and compare it with
Nazis as is his wont.

In any event, my complaint is not leveled at NC, with whom I agree,
but with the use of the war rhetoric and with the turning to old white
men who have obviously lost touch with what is going down.

While I'm kicking old white dudes, I am sad to see Sanders surrender
so early, no Sleepy Joe will take three giant leaps to the right and
another four years of old white man rules America to grind on in and
so it goes.
