Friends did have reactions to Vineland


One friend: it seemed like it was all about the 60s, couldn’t get into it

Comment: likes the written Sherlock Holmes stories, maybe I should have tried IV
instead. Those 60s may be less grim?

Other friend. Impressed by Frenesi's speech to Brock about
sticking it in. Liked the book. Went on to read _Crying of Lot 49_.
Moved out of town and lost touch.
