Larry Fine was a boxer in his extreme youth, before he became a Stooge.
This is doubly resonant, because one of his funniest bits was in a boxing ring, bouncing up and down on the balls of his feet and constantly backing away, saying, “Too fast for ya, huh?!” 
Before I could read, I thought they were the 3 “Stoogents” which was a rank like Sergeant. Although with the wisdom born of age, I now see it as a compendium of Sergeant and student. 
If it was doubly resonant, what’s the other resonance? Hmm, maybe a double measure of the same resonance? Too fast for you, huh?! (-;
