Plisters are more Hofstadter here than postmodern, I'd say. Or is that just projection?

I saw that erstwhile conspiracy theorist (actually, one of the better ones)
wrote about The Paranoid Style in American Politics yesterday.

For those of you who don't want to surf away from your email, here is what
he wrote:
"Richard Hofstadter's "The Paranoid Style in American Politics" is used to
debunk conspiracies. CIA helped promote and distribute his work."
I gave out a bit of an exasperated sigh upon reading this, because while I
mostly respect Mr Emory, I very much respect Mr Hofstadter.
