Don't worry, T.E. I used to be just like you, too, before I woke up.
I'm not about to wade into an attempted debunking of an argument that is
based on (literally) hundreds of gigabytes worth of computer simulations in
and thousands of pages of gobbledygook, all amounting to what seems to me
like the single biggest and most sinister, insanity-inducing conspiracy
theorist time-trap ever conceived by mortal man. It's been 20 years since
9/11. All the videos of molten metal, thermite microparticles, "explosive"
puffs, "Just pull its", architects and engineers gazing wide-eyed at
footage of building 7, "it fell in its footprints!", "telltale kinks!",
etc, etc, etc, etc, have amounted to... what? A big fat bolus of Sweet Fuck
All. That's what.
Do I think rogue elements in the American government or intelligence
agencies might have played a role in the events of 9/11? Actually, yes, I
do suspect that.
Do I believe the "controlled demolition" theories? No. Because they're
fucking ridiculous, for any number of reasons. And I say this as probably
one of the few Pynchon List members who has actually worked with dynamite
and (far more dangerous) blasting caps while working summers with my
father, who was an explosives expert taught by the US Army, who brought his
training into his civilian job as a construction foreman.
So pardon me if I refuse to spend any more time on this ridiculous tarbaby.
Love you guys!
Jerky
