Greetings Boils & Ghouls!

I apologize for my absence as of late but... an unfortunate Tarot reading after the full moon... amongst the major arcana, a reversed Hermit (Key 9)... needless to say I've been lighting sandalwood ever since... I've consulted a local Mahakala, having been in an intensive meditation...

My tachyon transmission won't last long, but...

Lately my soul wanders the steppe, with the cackling words of that mad Alhazred ceaselessly reverberating in my head..."that is not dead which can eternal lie, / And with strange eons even death may die"

I've been reading Peter Hopkirk's The Great Game: The Struggle for Empire in Central Asia, and there is this quote by the ill-fated explorer George Hayward (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Hayward): "I shall wonder about the wilds of Central Asia possessed of an insane desire to try the effects of cold steel across my throat"... yes, indeed...

Again, in Hopkirk's The Great Game: "Often they traveled as Buddhist pilgrims, many of whom regularly crossed the passes to visit the holy sites of the ancient Silk Road. Every Buddhist carried a rosary of 108 beads on which to count his prayers, and also a small wood and metal prayer-wheel which he spun as he walked. Both of these Montgomerie turned to his advantage. From the former he removed eight beads, not enough to be noticed, but leaving a mathematically convenient 100. At every hundredth pace the Pundit would automatically slip one bead. Each complete circuit of the rosary thus represented 10,000 paces."

I remember my Pundit days. Dropping my bead at every Greyhound station, but no more... this plague has transformed the dynamic into the static, time to calculate moments of inertia... and yet "E pur si muove" the planet is a Non-inertial reference frame... and the adept can feel the planet move underneath them... I feel the warm embrace of my karma mudra...

As the MJJG progresses, I'm going to jump in on a few details for Chapter 6 & 7, feel free to ignore and dismiss as ravings ( I watched the Exorcist III the other day, and there is something unsettling/ very Lynchian about the hospital scenes... Loonies crawling on the walls...I know I've seen such things) anyway...

"This augurs very badly, for if Jes Grew is immune to the old remedies, the saving Virus in the blood of Europe, mankind is lost. No word of this must get out. The mayor even volunteers to accept the the short bronze dagger and "get it over with." All for the Atonist Path." (pg.18)

Atonist = A-tone => without tone... Also, Atenism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atenism)... Early Egyptian monotheism...associated with Nefertiti (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nefertiti)... I know Paglia has an interesting bit about Nefertiti in her Sexual Personae... Also, if I remember correctly, and this is baseless old occult head speculation, but isn't there some lore about Nefertiti being a sorceress, and possible prophet of Christ? I've looked on internet for links, but maybe it's just a jumble of factoids that I've needlessly lumped together, but if there are any search engine autistes out there...

"Another author suggested that the Nursery Rhyme and the book of Science Fiction might be more revolutionary than any number of tracts, pamphlets, manifestoes of the political realm."

Beware DEROS! (Richard Sharpe Shaver has been my prophet lately!)

Chapter 7 takes us to Harlem!

"A gang war has broken out over Buddy Jackson, noted for his snappy florid-designed multicolored shoes and his grand way of living. There are legends about him."

Buddy Jackson => Bumpy Johnson (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumpy_Johnson)

"Schlitz, "the Sarge of Yorktown," a Beer Baron, has a lucrative numbers and Speak operation in Harlem."

Schlitz (Schlitz beer of course) => "Dutch" Schultz (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_Schultz)

Also, for Harlem numbers racket info read about Stephanie St. Clair (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephanie_St._Clair)

"The mobster moves on, the 3 Packards following his course. The next store, the same story. The portrait of Prince Hall dressed in the formal Colonial outfit of his day, the frilled white blouse and collar showing beneath the frock coat and vest. The short white wig." (pg. 19)

Prince Hall => (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Hall)
Prince Hall Freemansonry => (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Hall_Freemasonry)

... My energy is low, but Kerim Bey must escort me to my next location, in the reservoirs of Constantine... Until next time!

There’s the Knights Templar, the Egyptian link and other stuff - I’ll have to keep a look out for this type of thing. And this is supposedly coming from a Calvinist editorial circa 1920-22? When anti-semitism was growing in Germany and the Southern States (and a lot of other places).
