I think there is too much focus (with good reason) on Hitler's war of
annihilation. Other activities during the war like the Allies bombing
campaign in Germany and Japan, Japan's racist war in Asia (e,g,, their
activities in Manila in 1945 as the US retook the Philliipines); all is
sobering reading. there's plenty of horror to go around and no one is
spared or innocent. Iraq, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Yemen. nothing's changed.
it's a club of many members
