In 'Welcome to Sullyville', his excellent weekly e-mail newsletter venue
for cultural and literary essay writing, sports scribe Dan O'Sullivan has
just begun what he promises will be a multi-part series about "the
mysteries which remain" surrounding the Manson Family, the reality of the
socio-political background and the pathetically mythopoeticized version of
same that now seems to serve as a permanently and unalterably collective
established 'truth' about what things were like when and where they did
their creepy crawling, and the greater psychic milieu within which all the
central and peripheral events took place.

If this first essay is anything to go by, nobody still interested in any
aspect of the Manson Family murders is going to want to miss this one.
