in America, in NYC, still the 'temple of finance':

The Vacancy (where mysterious goods came needing guarding).
Whistleblower at Krispy Kreme....corporate fraud.
"Dizzy" Cubitts inventory fraud...Having been inspired by Crazy Eddie's
fraud.

NYC, 2001, America. Money is corrupt, pretty totally as presented and as
will matter in the plot.
