Well, according to my friend who as an independent filmmaker has been to
Huntingdon, Ransom, Yale, Delaware
(among others), Huntingdon is harder than the others to get access to if
you are NOT an academic scholar...

Yes, Pynchon's will be as hard or easy as other writer's maybe, but
there are more interested non-scholars at the moment
and foreseeable future for Pynchon over the others mentioned I daresay.

As to why there  are fewer boxes, they stopped editing Roth and he just
produced more drafts.....he knew when he hadn't met his own mark.
A---and, maybe there are lots of drives, thumb or even discs, etc
compressing boxes?
