total mass retain

Excellent link, Rich! I'd heard of Shub Niggurath, but I'd never heard
any of their compositions. This one ("Yog Sothoth") has a real Univers
Zero feel to it, and I really, REALLY like it. So thanks for that!

This is the last prog rock email that I'll be sending to the Whole
Sick Crew. I'll be creating a separate, very informal sub-list of
those interested in the topic of the most obscure and avant-garde of
prog (currently numbering just myself and Allen/Quail unless and until
anyone else asks to be included). Now, by obscure, I don't just mean
poorly-selling! It could even involve some thoughts about Pink Floyd,
one of the most popular and successful acts of the rock era, as long
as those thoughts are, themselves, obscure, novel, strange, or what
have you (like, I'd love to share with anyone interested my
interpretation of "Echoes" as being a treatment in song form about a
motion picture depicting the ultimate saga... that being the evolution
of life on Earth, from it's utmost absolute beginnings as blue green
algae).

And so, if you want to be included in any future prog rock email
discussions with myself and Allen, let me know and I'll put you on the
list!

In the meantime, a parting gift of a piece of progressive rock that I
HOPE is new to everyone here (but will probably turn out not to be):
"Recit", by the Japanese Zeuhl group, Bondage Fruit!

Yog Sothoth is a highlight.

I am currently listening to Wobbler as I type this, with Centipede queued up next, just for spite!
