The Principle of state sovereignty was recognized in the 1970 Declaration
on Principles of International Law.....The international law textbook I am
looking at explicitly cites the states of Belarus and Ukraine as having
"international personalities" when they were admitted to the UN...
everything including treaties and agreements and everything else flows from
that.....
