"It is well documented since 2014 in several polls that Crimeans, who
are ethically mixed but with a high percent of ethnic Russians, chose to
rejoin Russia and continue to prefer that over the Government of
Ukraine* over 80 % in all polls I have seen. "
Over 90 per cent according to noted Russian propaganda outlet PEW Research:
"Crimean residents are almost universally positive toward Russia. At
least nine-in-ten have confidence in Putin (93%) and say Russia is
playing a positive role in Crimea (92%). Confidence in Obama is almost
negligible at 4%, and just 2% think the U.S. is having a good influence
on the way things are going on the Crimean peninsula."

In 1991, it was 94 per cent:

In stark contrast to Kosovo, however, where the secession from Serbia
was approved by the West even without a referendum, the will of the
people does not count in Crimea.
