How goddamn disgusting it is that we've reached a point in the culture
where this is back to being not only possible, but probable.

Are people going to start having to pre-plan escape routes, prepare
contingency plans, nominate designated look-outs and carry weapons, all
just to attend a neighborhood book club?

At the very least, I can see people having to be more careful, not just
about who they invite, but also about who gets to know where and when said
theoretical book club is taking place.

I really do think that we all tend to underestimate how truly fucked up the
times in which we currently find ourselves really are.
