I m old enough to remember Joseph praising Taibbi just the other day for his Twitter expose.....

Yea, like maybe Twitter just hired a fiction writer to make up those communications from the FBI etc. Sure dude. The facts stand via many documents, both from Twitter's files( seems to me that if they actually gave Taibbi and Shellenberger etc. fictional files that would make them vulnerable to lawsuits) and from many other sources.
But here is the quote you offer as though it were evidence.
"Twitter's lawyers told a federal court yesterday that nothing in the "Twitter Files" cited by Donald Trump actually show that the social media platform was a tool of government censorship.”
The lawyers did not say ”the “Twitter Files”were all a big lie, nothing more than a marketing campaign to appeal to the lowest common denominator”. That was the tweet of someone who says he is the CEO of Pillowfight.co <http://pillowfight.co/>, a website I can’t find, and a 3rd hand opinion.

The quote itself from reuters is a lawyer’s opinion designed to protect Twitter as a business. Have you read through the actual files presented by Taibbi? I am willing to bet that you have not. Try processing the possibility that some random tweet by laywers does not represent an honest evaluation of the actual communications. Try reading source materials and thinking for yourself.

By the way Taibbi quit the project rather than comply with unethical demands from Musk. He continues to be one of the most honest nonpartisan voices in media and is followed by many for his clear and often hilarious prose. His writing in Rolling Stone and a book about the 2008 finacial scam was unmatched in the media's recent history. He consistently makes difficult and complex material accessible and enjoyable to read without oversimplification. How big is your following Mark? Are you up to 3 yet?
