Although I still think this reads as 'they pranced ...full of the
Sagittarian
fire" I was still curios abut McLuhan because I thought he did have other
thoughts about a "hot medium"
and I found this: If the screen is film......
In *Understanding Media*, Marshall McLuhan stated that different forms of
media require different levels of audience participation. Film was
considered "hot media" because it was very absolute. All the details were
