Malta....(did you all see the take on this from Anderson in The
Master?...masturbating into the sea...)
Oedipa transits from Republican California to a new existential
uncertainty...
Slothrop transits from WW2 to a shadow self, so to speak.
The last three novels have all been mysteries where the protagonist hardly
gets out of the shadows at all...
