What is in front of your eyes is propaganda by the owners and supporters of endless wars and now genocide , Big Brother’s ministry of Truth. Your response to facts is always insults. The result of people believing the crap you believe about Ukraine is hundreds of thousands dead in a lost war because, led by the nazi-loving far right,  they and their  imperialist supporters  refused to leave the culturally Russian eastern oblasts alone or keep the reasonable Minsk accord they had signed with eastern Ukraine.  Meanwhile all opposition parties silenced, elections refused, Zelensky and friends caught stealing billions, Ukrainians fleeing by the tens of thousands, while the western weapons that were supposed to save the day are paraded through Moscow.  I would say it is you who needs to open your eyes. Sy Hersh writes perfectly well, and successfully exposed  a large body of US criminality in his admirable career, while you have never in my memory produced 2 coherent paragraphs of original thought. 
I remember an article in the Guardian well into the Ukraine conflict claiming that Russian soldiers were reduced to fighting with shovels. The NY Times published similar drivel about immanent victory. That was when I knew even the most “liberal” papers would report whatever the state Intel propagandists told them, no matter how ludicrous, how big the lie.
