Very interesting, rich, thanks.

One could also brush up on one's Paul Hennissart ("Wolves in the City: The Death of French Algeria" which is specifically about the OAS), or one's Frédéric Laurent whose "L'Orchéstre Noir" describes how the OAS fed into the Fascist International and, later, Gladio. The best academic take on this that I am familiar with is Jeffrey M. Bale's PhD thesis, republished and updated in "The Darkest Side of Politics, I, Postwar fascism, covert operations, and terrorism". I also recommend his article "Political paranoia v. political realism: on distinguishing between bogus conspiracy theories and genuine conspiratorial politics" (available via https://www.middlebury.edu/institute/people/jeffrey-bale) which is quite pertinent to some of the discussions of the works of the list's subject.
