The townhouse we will be moving into on September
1st, 2001, was built in 1975. This is well demonstrated by the architecture and
stunning brown paneling! We are not allowed to change much of anything on the
outside, since most of that area is under the control of the Association. However,
we do have some small green spaces with which to work, so if any of you know of nice
plants that are difficult to kill, please pass on the information!
As you can see, we have not only a back porch, but an upper floor
balcony as well! Jeff and I will finally be able to utilize the small grill we
bought a few years ago. The upper balcony will need replacing by next May, according
to the Association. Of course, the cost is our responsibility. Luckily, most
all of the other major things have been replaced within the last seven years (i.e., the
central air, the roof, the siding).
The townhouse is located near the intersection of Hennepin Ave
and Central Ave in NE Minneapolis. The neighborhood is in the early stages of an
economic boom, so it will be a very nice place to live. There is an OK grocery about
four blocks away, several nice bars and restaurants, some clubs, a Rare Books store, and
the light rail will have a station only a few blocks away. It is also very close to
my studio.

The front entryway is spacious with a very big closet. I love the tile floor, but will have to get a few more coats to fill up the storage space (haha). From where I stood to take this picture, the kitchen is behind me, and the living room and stairs are just to my right. Come on in!
