Casesuits - Soft Covers for Suitcase Synths
Sometimes you want to leave the house with your suitcase synth. Maybe you want to perform. Maybe you just don't
want to leave home without it. Or maybe, you're too worried the finish will be scratched. That's where Casesuits come in!
The first time I played a show with my first Easel, our guitar player slid his case across my lovely blue case in the van
and it made a huge, ghastly scratch in the paint. I made myself a cover to protect the case from bumps and scratches,
which has always served me well. I figured it would be something others might be interested in too!
- Exterior is water resistant, rugged 900 Denier ballistic nylon
- Interior is a soft polyester material that swaddles your synth
- Sandwiched between is 1cm of foam padding to cushion the synth from minor scrapes and bumps
- Opens like a clamshell with heavy duty double zipper for easy nestling
- Rubber material covers the bottom and the rear corners to protect against wear on the contact points
- Stitched opening for your synth case's own handle means the stress of the weight is kept off the Casesuit
- Generous zippered front pocket for cables, tuners, or other accessories
- Available in three custom-fitted sizes:
1. Blue - fits Best Case Cosmo-Naught (21x17x5.5"), Buchla 50th Anniversary, and our previous standard 8-panel cases
2. Grey - fits Best Case Aero-Naught (22x16x5.5") and Buchla Retro Music Easel cases
3. Army Green - fits Synthi A and AKS, in either original Spartanite or Best Case Aluminite cases
Q: Why is there no shoulder strap?
A: These synths can get quite heavy in their metal cases. I wanted to keep the support of the instrument on the
case handle, which is designed to support the mass of the case and its contents. In order to make a shoulder strap the
cover would've had to be constructed differently and significantly reinforced, which would've added cost and design time.
Q: Can I get a different color?
A: No, sorry. I had to make a large quantity in each type so for now I only have the one color per size.
