Jeffrey Meikle compared once Pynchon and Lovecraft in _Modern
Fiction Studies_. He told in passing about some pornographic
parody of _Lot 49_ he had found by accident in the beginning
of the 70s. (Maybe there *are* some Scurvhamites left, or could
it've been, I know I shouldn't utter this...The Horn?)
He told the title of that parody as well. I don't have that _MFS_
issue at hand now (it is Finland's Independence Day and the
libraries are closed), but I have data about the article:
Jeffrey L. Meikle 1981: "'Other frequencies': the Parallel
Worlds of Thomas Pynchon and H.P. Lovecraft." MFS 27 (2): 287-293.

P.S. Have any of you ever wondered at the name Yrjo" (belonging to
an immigrated king from Europe mentioned both in _GR_ and "Secret
Integration".) If someone of you thought Pynchon made the name up,
well, he didn't. Yrjo" is an old-fashioned Finnish male name. In the
colloquial use "yrjo"" means also "vomit".
