The town of Mingeborough and the Slothrop family are first mentioned in "The
Secret Integration," (along with Crazy Sue Dunham--borrowed from THE BERKSHIRE
HILLS travel book).

The wacky kamikaze Takeshi (of GR) is a major character in VINELAND (but what
happened to Ichizo?) and Mucho Maas returns in that book as well.
