Just a thought on authors including themselves: In _Lolita_, Nabokov used an acronym of his name (Vivian Bloom) as the name of a minor character because he was originally going to publish anonymously, and wanted to have proof that he did in fact write the book if he ever wanted to prove such a thing. --Gershom K.
