Proper naming in Pynchon

I would echo this only to say that I think there is no "might" about 
it.  The episode at the end where Brock comes via helicopter to carry 
her off felt like the Persephone story, and Persephone plays a role 
in the Orpheus story as well (it's she who prevails upon hades to let 
Eurydice follow Orpheus out, if i remember my greek myths and 
legends...) linking her back to GR...
