Looks like just about all the bases are being covered on the Frenesi/Artie
Shaw connection. Frenesi can, however, also be read as an anagram of "free
sin" or--better yet, perhaps--"sin free."
Re Blood & Vato: As I recall, "blood" and "vato" are kind of like "bro."
So someone named Blood can call someone named Vato Blood meaning Blood to
mean Bro, and someone named Vato can call someone named Blood Vato meaning
Vato to mean Bro. Of course, the use of the upper case may indicate that a
couple of typos took place.
Prairie Wheeler also suggests something having to do with grass. Doesn't
the name Zoyd refer (obliquely) to a type of grass (the green variety).
